Venice to Croatia was our next journey. It was a very interesting place that we didn’t quite know what to expect. We took a ferry from the mainland across to an island where we stayed called Pag.

Pag itself was beautiful. It was beach landscapes but very rocky and reasonably Barren. Although the views were amazing the campsite that we stayed at was not ideal. On the first night we arrived there were gale force winds that made putting up and keeping up tents a little interesting. With some good kiwi ingenuity everyone managed to tie their tents to each other and rocks and things and luckily everyone survived the night.

The next day we ventured into Novaljia where we spent the day wandering the markets and and lay on the beach which was wonderful!

That was also how we spent the next few days in Croatia which was a lovely relaxing time – Eat, Beach, Sleep, Repeat.
